    Online Awesomeness ——

Interview: Steve McCurry on Street Photography and Change from American Photo Magazine

Over the course of Steve McCurry’s amazing career, he’s traveled the world creating iconic images along the way.  His most famous photo The Afghan Girl is one of the most recognizable photos on the planet – he tells the story of this photograph in this National Geographic Video. In the interview (featured in American Photo Magazine), Steve discusses photography and the changes it’s gone through (along with the rest of the world) through the years.

    Video Virtuosity ——

What happens when a bunch of confused college students think they’re posing for a photo while video is rolling?  An entire reel of awkwardness that will help brighten up you day – nay, your week. With DSLRs pulling double duty, providing amazing still images and sharp HD-Video, this could happen to anyone. These student’s weren’t asked to pose for the camera – they just did, unlike these poor unsuspecting pranksters’ victims.

From the Nottingham Trent Students Union, “here’s a super awkward montage of lots of students mistaking our video camera for a stills camera.”
