Canon EOS Webcam Utility Beta – Original post April 2020

Here are a few important things you need to know before you try the EOS Webcam Utility Beta.

  • While it states on the Canon USA website “supported ONLY in the USA”, the driver will work in Canada. Note: It is beta software, if there are issues or troubles there is no Canon support in Canada, only in the United States. You can use it in Canada, but if you have troubles then unfortunately you won’t be able to receive support while it is in beta.
  • It works on Windows or MacOS systems
  • After installation be sure to REBOOT your computer for it to work
  • You have to ensure the camera has a media card inserted
  • There is no audio via the Canon Camera only video
