    Fujifilm X-Pro3 Camera

The X-Pro3, the latest addition to Fujifilm’s X-Pro line-up of rangefinder style mirrorless cameras, offers top level features in a discrete, durable body.

It’s been over 3 years since the release of the X-Pro2, and fans have been waiting patiently for Fujifilm to announce the next version…

Well, X-Pro fans, the wait is finally over…

    Fujifilm X-Pro3 Camera Finishes
Available in Classic Black, DR Silver & DR Black

The X-Pro3 features a weather sealed, titanium (top and base plate) and magnesium body and is available in three finishes.

Two of the finishes, DR Silver and SR Black are coated in Duratect using cold plasma technology, which Fujifilm says offers a scratch-resistant finish.

X-Pro2 users will appreciate that little has changed in terms of the size, weight and overall shape of the camera.

As with the X-Pro2, the X-Pro3 uses a hybrid optical (OFV)/electronic (EFV) view finder.

The optical viewfinder offers 0.5x magnification and parallax-correcting frame lines that can help you compose your shots while viewing the “real world” in front of you and allows you to see outside the frame so you can better anticipate subjects moving into the frame.

The EVF features 3.69-million-dots and a 1:5000 contrast ratio and allows you to see in real-time how your image will turn out.

    X-Pro3 Folding Screen
“Hidden” Tilting touch screen with mini-screen on back

On the back of the camera there is a 3-inch 180-degree-tilting touchscreen that when folded up, is “hidden” from view.

Fujifilm says they hid the screen to “remove the distraction of a full-screen while shooting” and allow shooters to focus on “the scene in front of them rather than the scene they’ve just shot.”

A mini-screen on the back of the touchscreen shows essential camera settings such as white balance, ISO and active film simulation mode when the touchscreen is closed.

    Performance wise, the X-Pro3 features a back-illuminated, 26.1-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and X-Processor 4 Quad-Core processor and ISO range of 160-12800.

The X-Pro3’s Phase-Detection autofocus system has also been given a boost and can operate in “near pitch darkness” down to -6EV.

Fujifilm has included all 16 of their current digital film simulation modes with the X-Pro3, and added 2 new ones, CLASSIC Neg. and Monochromatic Colour.

Video wise, the X-Pro3 can capture 4K footage at up to 30fps.
