The new Epson SureColor P700 & P900 printers incorporate the same large-format printing technology as found in previous versions, but housed in a smaller body.
How much smaller you ask?
Well, Epson has managed to reduce the size of both printers by about 30%, meaning they are a lot more desk friendly than the previous versions, the SureColor P600 and P800 printers.
And for those of us where surface space is at a premium, it’s kind of a big deal…
Both printers feature new advanced MicroPiezo AMC 10-channel drop-on demand printheads with ink-repelling technology that Epson says will “deliver prints with outstanding speed, consistency and accuracy.”
The printheads also feature dedicated nozzles for both black (photo black and matte black) ink types eliminating the need to switch tanks before printing.
Speaking of ink, both printers use the new UltraChome PRO10 pigment ink producing what Epson says is “up to a 6% wider colour gamut” than the previous models.
Both printers also feature a new Carbon Black Driver mode which increases Dmax for more dramatic black density when printing on glossy paper.
They also feature a 4.3 inch touchscreen interface and wireless connectivity allowing you to airprint from your phone or other smart device using the new Epson profesional app.
