Profoto Android Control App Adds Compatibility for B10 & B10 Plus

Profoto has just announced that their Android control app is now compatible with their B10 and B10 Plus lights.

The app, available via the Google Play Store, works with Android phones running Android OS 7 or later, and has been tested and verified with the following Android Smartphones.

• Samsung Galaxy S9+, S10, S10+, Note 8, Note 9, and Note 10
• Huawei P20 Pro, M20 Pro, Mate 30, and P 30 Pro
• Google Pixel 3, 3a, and 4
• Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 9, and Mi Mix 3
• One plus 6, 7 Pro
• HTC U12+

If you’re phone isn’t specifically listed above, don’t worry, Profoto says that the app should work with most Android smartphones.

In its current form, the app will allow you to control the settings for all Profoto Air TTL lights connected through a Profoto Connect wireless trigger, view and control settings for Profoto B10 and B10 Plus lights and finally, upgrade the firmware for linked Profoto Connects, B10 & B10 Plus lights.

Currently missing from the app, is the Profoto Camera function which allows you to capture images with a compatible iOS device when using Profoto studio lights.
