Jay Perry Camera Advice Blog Cover Shocked Person

Photographer Jay Perry has a lot of great videos on his YouTube Channel, but this one in particular caught our eye.

It’s safe to say that most photographers have probably experienced the situation Jay describes, and in this video, he shares some sage advice for anyone who is new to photography on how and what you should ask a photographer for camera advice.

“Never, ever, tell a photographer that their photos look good because of the type of camera they have.”

A quick piece of advice from Jay Perry.

    • When asking a photographer for camera advice, if you “come better prepared with questions and you’ll get a better answer.”

So with that in mind, before you ask for advice, you might want to ask yourself the following questions.

    1. Why do you want your camera and what will you be using it for?
    2. Where do you see the majority of your images being used?
    3. How much do you want to spend on a camera?

Why ask these questions? Watch Jay’s video below to find out!
