NEW from Sony: the NEX-EA50

Sony announced, late last week, the NEX-EA50 Camcorder with 18-200mm Servo Zoom Lens, effectively launching the new EA Series of camcorders designed for cinematic event videography.

The NEX-EA50 is a crossover video camera that boasts high quality photo features, including a mechanical shutter for stills. It has an APS-C size sensor and 18-200mm E-mount lens with a new amazing capability – power zoom! Its compact, convertible shoulder-mount design is ideal for shoulder or hand held operation for event, corporate and low budget documentary work.

• Records full HD 1080p up to 60 fps
• Exmor APS-C CMOS sensor
