The Sigma 20-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DG Contemporary features a dust- and splash-resistant barrel.

The new Sigma Contemporary 20-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DG is the world’s first high-power 10x zoom for full-frame mirrorless cameras starting at 20mm and extending to 200mm.

Spanning these ultra-wide to telephoto focal lengths with incredible ease, this versatile lens lets you capture everything from sweeping landscapes to fast-paced sports without missing a beat.

With an emphasis on compactness and wider general appeal, Sigma’s Contemporary lineup of lenses offers an affordable entry point for those seeking a practical all-purpose alternative to its higher-end and more specially targeted Art and Sport lines.

They’re also super-portable and ideal for travel photography, casual snapshots, family photos and everyday walk-around use, genres for which the new 20-200mm seems to have been purpose-built.

Weighing only 550g, the Contemporary 20-200mm measures just 115.5mm in length, with a zoom ring diameter clocking in at a very slim 70.4mm. The lens’s optical and mechanical formulas are also designed to maintain both its compact size and high performance.

The inclusion of high-refractive-index glass materials, for instance, effectively reduces lens movement when zooming and enables a simpler internal structure and hence a slim lens body.

Another cool feature is the maximum magnification ratio of 1:2 achievable between the focal lengths of 28mm to 85mm. This gives you the unique ability to capture an interesting range of half-lifesize macro shots from various angles, including tight close-ups that also incorporate the background when moving closer to the subject.

Currently available in L-mount and E-mount versions, the Sigma 20-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DG Contemporary is a truly versatile all-in-one zoom lens that opens up new avenues to express and experience photographic creativity.
