With the launch of the new PavoTube II 6XR, we now have an ultra-compact model joining Nanlite’s popular LED tube light series. At just 25cm long and weighing only 270g, it’s super-portable and highly versatile, lending itself to a range of applications that its larger siblings might just be too big to handle.

The Nanlite PavoTube II 6XR LED tube light is the smallest and most affordable model in the series.

The Nanlite PavoTube II lineup already comprises the two-foot 15XR, the four-foot 30XR and the eight-foot 60XR, available in eight-light kits.

With its diminutive proportions, the new 6XR model is ideal for shooting in tight spaces. It’s not only the smallest but also the most affordable option in the series, and it too is available in an eight-light kit.

Although the PavoTube II 6XR shares parallel technology with the others, it features a unique diffuser designed to render a softer and more uniform light that gently wraps itself around a subject.

You can use the 6XR as a fill light to enhance close-up shots and refine details. You can also use it as a light source to illuminate specific areas within a larger scene.

Incorporating Nanlite’s RGBWW colour-mixing technology, the PavoTube II 6XR offers a colour temperature range of 2700K to 12000K with ±150 green/magenta adjustment, and delivers substantial 562 lux @ 0.5m (5600K) output. Eight controllable pixels are packed into the length of its 22.5cm illuminated area.

You can control the pixel effects directly on the light itself or through the NANLINK App 2.0. Alternatively, you can program each pixel independently through DMX/RDM or LumenRadio CRMX and create your own customized effects.

The PavoTube II 6XR also shares with its siblings a standard T12 tube size, and the back of the fixture features a polygonal design that gives it extra stability: you can placed the tube light on flat surfaces without additional support or having to worry about it shifting position or rolling away.

There are also built-in magnets at both ends, so you can snap it effortlessly onto metallic surfaces, and it comes with a set of iron plates that you can use to attach it directly to other types of surfaces. Either way, you’ll find many practical uses for this compact addition to the lineup, on its own or in combination with any of the earlier versions.
