The new Aputure Storm 700x is built for high-end productions

The new Aputure Storm 700x monolight joins a fast-growing product family of point-source LED fixtures for those perfectionists who prioritize the highest colour quality, especially for high-end productions.

The Storm 700x delivers clean, consistent light with high-output intensity and precision.

The Storm 700x follows in the recent wake of the 400x, 80c three-light kit and XT52, all launched earlier this year, along with the original 1000c and 1200x from 2024.

The thing that sets this lineup apart from other Aputure LEDs – as well as the competition – is the exclusive BLAIR (blue/lime/amber/indigo/red) light engine that delivers higher-quality tunable white light than any previous LED system.

The result: an image that more accurately matches real daylight and tungsten sources – not only more colour-accurate but also flicker-free from candlelight to daylight.

Packing a powerful 700W COB into a conveniently compact form factor, the Storm 700x offers both high-output intensity and precision.

It’s a level of clean, consistent light that’s ideal for everyone from cinematographers and video professionals to photographers seeking a versatile tool for use either in studio or on location, including challenging outdoor environments.

In a nod to the latter, the Storm 700x boasts a durable IP65-certified build quality, along with a versatile ProLock Bowens Mount to keep modifiers and optics properly aligned and securely in place, plus wide-ranging control options.

The new Storm 700x is also available in an accessorized Cine Kit, which includes a CF10 Fresnel – a compact Bowens Mount Fresnel engineered for the 700x’s light engine – plus CF10 barn doors and 700x skid.

The stainless-steel skid attachment can be secured to the bottom of the fixture, so you can safely place it flat on the ground without the risk of tipping it over.

Also available with this launch and sold separately: the BM6825 25º Reflector designed specifically to tighten the 700x’s native beam angle and ensure a smooth falloff from centre to edge of the beam output.
