For added versatility, the lens packs some convenient customizable control functions, including a focus button on the barrel that can be assigned as a function button and can also be used to lock focus while pressed.
You can change the direction of the focus ring as well, and you can switch from linear to non-linear control when the focus mode is set to MF.
