The DJI Osmo Nano is worth a closer look

The new DJI Osmo Nano has a lot going for it, including its incredibly ultra-lightweight compact form factor, modular magnetic design and extended battery life. This is an action cam built to give the competition a serious run for the money.

Weighing just 58g, the compact Osmo Nano is available in 64GB and 128GB capacities.

Ever since the debut of its first action camera, the Osmo Action, in 2019, DJI has slowly ratcheted up the pressure with an incremental series of improvements, enhancements and breakthroughs with each new product launch.

The Osmo Nano continues that tradition with a next-generation 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor that delivers up to 13.5 of stops dynamic range and support for up to 4K/60fps HDR video and 4K/120fps slow-motion recording.

With the ability to capture detailed shots in tricky low-light and bright-sunlight conditions, the Osmo Nano offers, according to DJI, a level of imaging performance “on par with professional cameras.”

Ideal for everything from action sports to travel landscapes, the expansive 143-degree field of view lets you squeeze more into every frame, while the camera’s 10-bit and D-Log M colour capabilities allow for greater scope and leverage in post-production.

The Osmo Nano uses DJI’s latest RockSteady 3.0 stabilization technology, which effectively reduces camera shake while maintaining the intensity and impact of movement in your shots, along with HorizonBalancing to correct the tilt horizontally within plus or minus 30 degrees, including for recording stable 4K/60fps HD videos.

The Multifunctional Vision Dock supports fast charging – it takes only 20 minutes to reach 80% battery level – and when fully charged, you can record up to 200 minutes of 1080p/24fps video. The dock also includes a built-in microSD card slot for ample onboard storage, quick single-tap footage export and more.

DJI markets the Osmo Nano as a “wearable camera for versatile perspectives.” These are just some of the available accessories designed to make that happen:

This attachment uses a vacuum suction cup and ball-joint to securely mount the camera on smooth surfaces like glass or tiles. The foldable base features a 1/4″ threaded hole, allowing you to connect a wide range of action cam accessories.

    Osmo Nano magnetic chest strap
Secure the camera to this strap with a magnetic mount to create an immersive first-person view. It’s comfortable to wear and features an adjustable camera tilt angle.

    Osmo Nano magnetic headband
Use this to secure the camera to your hat brim and easily capture unobstructed first-person footage. It’s lightweight and unobtrusive, allowing you to comfortably adjust the tilt angle.

    Osmo Nano magnetic lanyard
Attach the camera to your chest for hands-free recording while standing, walking or whatever activity you choose to capture immersive, first-person videos effortlessly in the moment.

Additional new accessories include the Osmo Nano ND filter set and Osmo Nano glass lens cover.
