    Sigma X-Mount Lenses

If you’re the proud owner of a Fujifilm X-mount camera who’s ever wanted to use any of Sigma’s existing lenses, this is really big news. Up until now, your options were pretty limited. You could probably find an adapter, of course, but now with the launch of its first set of X-mount lenses, Sigma has finally opened the door to a more streamlined and fully optimized shooting experience for followers of both brands.

Available for the first time in Fujifilm X-mount, Sigma is simultaneously releasing three superb new primes in its Contemporary line of lenses, with a bright f/1.4 maximum aperture and in a range of popular focal lengths. Until now, this Contemporary line configuration was available only in Sony E-mount, Canon EF-M mount, Micro Four Thirds mount and L-Mount.

    The Contemporary edge
With an emphasis on compactness, portability and affordability, Contemporary lenses incorporate some of Sigma’s latest technologies and are suited to everything from travel photography to everyday walk-around use. They’re optimized to effectively minimize optical aberrations and deliver superb resolution throughout the aperture range, with an optical design and stepping motor that lend themselves equally well to capturing stills and shooting video.

These three new X-mount interchangeable lenses use a newly developed algorithm to control the autofocus drive and optimize communication speed. Along with high-speed AF, these new lenses also support continuous autofocus and in-camera aberration correction. The mount itself is rubber-sealed for extra protection in a variety of challenging shooting environments.
