Fujifilm has just announced the new Instax Mini 41, four years after the launch of its popular Instax Mini 40. They share many of the same useful features and stylish timeless design but now updated with some thoughtful functional tweaks.

The Fujifilm Instax Mini 41 features a selfie mirror positioned next to the lens.

Fujifilm is known for the breadth and diversity of its Instax instant camera lineup. When the original Mini 40 debuted in 2021, it was hailed for its ease of use and eye-catching vintage aesthetic. The new Mini 41 keeps all of that intact while addressing some minor issues.

For starters, the camera now uses a parallax correction function in close-up mode to help photographers capture more clearly centered close-ups simply by adjusting a focus mark at the lower left side of the frame. No more off-centre selfies and close-ups.

In keeping with its effortless ease-of-use mission, the Instax Mini 41 automatically adjusts exposure and shutter speed to suit ambient lighting conditions. Two less things to think about when shooting spontaneously from the hip.

The other big change is the camera’s overall appearance. Yes, that’s a retro-inspired look on the Mini 41, but not one harkening back to the distant 1940s like its predecessor. This one looks more like vintage circa mid-1970s, less decorative and much sleeker than the Mini 40 but still reminiscent of a bygone era.

The textured body surface gives it a tactile grip and the metallic-like accents give it a touch of class. The handsome little Instax Mini 41 fits easily into a purse or pocket, subtly drawing attention to itself the instant you whip it out to start taking pictures.
