    Nikon Z 30 focuses on video content creation for vloggers and streamers

    The Nikon Z 30 is a small, lightweight, feature packed mirrorless camera that Nikon says has been designed specifically for video content creators, vloggers and streamers, but is also a very capable stills camera as well.

    Nikon Z 30 Camera with no lens showing sensorThe Z 30 boasts a 20-megapixel APS-C sensor that is capable of capturing footage up to 4K 30P UHD with no additional crop, or in Full HD up to 120P allowing you to create beautiful looking slow-motion video.

    A bright, 3.0 inch, front-facing Vari-Angle touchscreen-LCD allows you to see yourself in the scene to compose the shot, confirm the frame and adjust focus as needed. It also provides the ability to swipe, pinch and zoom through playback and menus.

    The Z 30 also boasts fast and sharp autofocus that will precisely follow subjects around the scene as well as human and pet Eye Detection AF.

    Nikon says that the Z 30 offers superior low light performance for both indoor and outdoor situations with an ISO range up to 25,600 for video and up to 51,200 for stills.

    Nikon Z 30 Camera with Creator Kit GripThere is a REC lamp located on the front of the camera that acts as a tally light, providing confirmation that the camera is recording in situations where you are in front of the camera.

    The Z 30 features a built-in stereo microphone plus an additional input that allows an external stereo or directional microphone to be used..

    It also boasts more than two hours (125 minutes) of recording time, making it ideal for longer content such as an extensive DIY video.

    The Z 30 includes useful features such as the Picture Control Auto function which automatically adjusts video settings according to the scene, as well as 20 different types of Creative Picture Controls designed to add creative flair to video.

    Nikon Z 30 Camera with External Microphone AttachedNikon says that thanks to their precise colour profiling, scenes and skin tones are reproduced naturally and accurately straight out of camera, with a genuinely inviting vibe that’s never cold or clinical.

    The Z 30 also works with Nikon’s free Webcam Utility streaming software allowing it connected to a computer and used as a webcam for live streaming.

    In terms of stills performance, the Z30 boasts impressive low-light capabilities, human and pet eye-AF tracking, a max shutter speed of up to 1/4000 second, and can shoot up to 11 fps in full resolution RAW.

    Both video and stills are recorded via the single SD card slot to a compatible UHS-I compliant SDHC or SDXC memory card.

    It also includes WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity allowing it to connect to a phone (iOS or Android) for easy automatic transfer of images using the free Nikon SnapBridge App as well as to be as a remote control to start and stop your recording, when you are in front of the camera.

    Finally, the Z 30 can be powered using an external USB-C power source, eliminating the need to swap batteries during a shoot or using the included EN-EL25 Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery.
