DJI has pulled out all the stops with its groundbreaking new Ronin 4D, a cutting-edge 4-axis cinema camera integrating its most advanced technologies – from imaging and stabilization to wireless transmission and control – into one comprehensive cinematography solution designed to deliver unprecedented modular flexibility.

DJI Ronin 4D 6K Front ViewCompact lightweight body
Featuring a totally original modular body crafted from lightweight carbon fibre and aluminum magnesium, the Ronin 4D body integrates not just the imaging, stabilization and focusing systems, but also wireless transmission and control, so you can get yourself set up and start shooting faster than ever.

    Cutting-edge camera
Equipped with DJI’s flagship Zenmuse X9 full-frame camera, the Ronin 4D is available in two versions: a 6K Combo and an 8K Combo. Both also feature DJI’s latest high-performance CineCore 3.0 image processing system, allowing it to support internal recording of Apple ProRes RAW, ProRes 422 HQ and H.264 video, plus 8K/75 fps and 4K/120 fps video recording.

DJI Ronin 4D 6K Zenmuse X9 CameraAnd with dual native ISO (X9-8K: 800/4000; X9-6K: 800/5000), you can record images with minimal noise under the most challenging conditions, even scenes dimly lit by candlelight.

Combined with DJI’s Cinema Color System, the Zenmuse X9 can retain truly authentic and accurate colours to deliver images with a superb cinematic look and feel. Designed to complement the Ronin 4D’s colour science, its built-in high-quality ND filters can be switched fast and easily, thanks to an internal motorized system.

    4-axis stabilization
By adding a fourth axis – the Z – to it traditional 3-axis gimbal, DJI takes stabilization to a whole new level with the Ronin 4D. Working together, these four axes effectively eliminate vertical camera shake to deliver the best overall stabilization performance of the Ronin series to date. And by integrating the imaging and stabilization systems, there’s no need for manual balancing.

    Lenses and mounts
This camera’s standard DL mount currently supports three compact full-frame prime lenses made of lightweight monocoque carbon fibre, with other new DL lenses to be added to the mix going forward. The X9 also supports interchangeable lens mounts, including third-party E and M mounts. And whether you’re using manual or autofocus lenses, you can use dedicated modules to execute wireless lens control and autofocusing.

    Modular accessories
Along with the gimbal camera, the Ronin 4D comes with a set of modular accessories, including a high-bright main monitor, top handle, left and right hand grips, expansion plate, video transmitter, TB50 intelligent battery and battery mount, LiDAR range finder and focus motor, and more.

DJI Ronin 4D 4-Axis Cinema Camera 6K ComboMounted onto the Ronin 4D, the video transmitter can be  powered by the battery of the main body, and with its own built-in wireless video receiver, the remote monitor can output both HDMI and SDI signals through the expansion module.

The Ronin 4D-8K also comes with an additional PROSSD 1TB to capture and store higher-quality footage.

    State-of-the-art tracking
The Ronin 4D’s new ActiveTrack Pro differs from previous ActiveTrack versions by using DJI’s proprietary computer vision, deep learning technology and the computing power of CineCore 3.0 to support the reliable tracking of almost any subject – along with human faces and heads, it can even recognize shoulders, arms and legs.
