Introducing the amaran Verge, the company’s first product designed specifically for desktop creators and the first desktop panel light to feature front-facing controls. This convenient new lighting solution comes in two affordable versions.
Firstly, the 26W bi-colour Verge is an edge-lit rectangular panel light that’s RG0-certified to provide the highest level of eye safety for long recording sessions. Spanning 29.3×22.05×2.81cm in size and weighing just 938g, it’s perfect for live-streaming, videoconferencing and small home-studio scenarios.
Secondly, today’s launch also includes the Verge Max, a 55W bi-colour circular panel that’s 60cm in diameter and weighs 4kg. It’s ideal for live-streamers, e-commerce sellers and other social media influencers who create video content at a short distance from the camera or perhaps on and around a desk.
Circular diffused light is typically achieved by pairing COB lights with softboxes, but this ultra-thin alternative delivers the same soft output with a space-saving form factor. It’s actually half a stop brighter than the amaran 60x with less bulk and only 9% of the depth.

With a high CRI of 96, the amaran Verge can dependably recreate true-to-life colours and skin tones (it’s a comparable 95+ CRI for the Verge Max). The edge-lit design provides for a soft, even light with minimal shadow that’s especially suitable for close-up applications.
The fanless design ensures that your audio remains clear and uninterrupted while shooting, and the front-facing controls allow for effortless adjustments without disrupting your creative workflow.
Both models also provide multiple wireless ways to adjust your settings – including brightness, colour temperature, effects and more complex programming – using the amaran Desktop app (also designed specifically with creators in mind) and Stream Deck controls.
And both are compatible with the amaran Verge Lock mounting ecosystem, giving you ample flexibility to customize your setup for desktop and floor-mounted configurations.
