With the launch of the VenusLiv Air, Hollyland picks up where its predecessors left off and fills some gaps to create an affordable entry-level model in the competitive compact livestream camera market.

The touchscreen supports both horizontal and vertical live streaming.

Think of it as versatile high-end webcam to broadcast your content live as quality video either through the supplied USB cable or via WiFi. The built-in three-inch touchscreen flips 180 degrees to support both horizontal and vertical live streaming.

Citing its form factor and ease of use, some observers hailed the original Hollyland VenusLiv 24/7 as one of the best compact livestream cameras available when it debuted last year, followed closely by its younger sibling, the next-gen Hollyland VenusLiv V2 24/7, which offered a handful of helpful upgrades.

The new model takes things a step further with the addition of built-in AI tuning, which Hollyland claims will allow even novices to obtain professional-looking results. Ease of use has always been a hallmark of the series, so this comes as no surprise, but this model takes it to the next level.

Proprietary new AE and AWB algorithms are key to this welcome development, intelligently analyzing lighting conditions to fine-tune image parameters in real time. Among other things, this feature gives live-streamers control over things like green screen and image overlay, skin tone and more.

Combined with cinematic 4K video capture, a custom f/1.05 lens and a large 1/1.3-inch sensor, this camera does indeed promise to deliver impressive image quality with vibrant authentic colour, even in low light thanks to the generous maximum aperture.

Hollyland has made a name for itself in recent years primarily as a provider of cutting-edge wireless audio-visual solutions for videographers, content creators and live streamers. That legacy is clearly evident in the VenusLiv Air with its built-in Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band WiFi capabilities, along with flexible operating options including wireless live streaming, multi-platform streaming (yes, you can stream to two platforms simultaneously without a computer) and 24/7 streaming.

VenusLiv Air also features an advanced air-cooling system and boasts plenty of internal space for heat dissipation, allowing for a smooth and stutter-free streaming experience without the constant threat of overheating on extended sessions.

Plug-and-play simplicity is another given. You can plug it directly into your computer and go live via a USB 3.0 cable without the need for a capture card, instantly streaming to your platform of choice with just one tap.

In addition to USB, dedicated ports on this model include DC in, HDMI 2.0 out, 3.5mm and RJ45 Ethernet network, plus an SD card slot. With one-tap 4K recording as well, the VenusLiv Air also goes beyond live streaming, allowing you to capture, create, edit and share your content with incredible ease.
