Hasselblad 907X & CFV 100C Digital Body and Back

The Hasselblad 907X & CFV 100C is a sophisticated combination of advanced technologies and modular design, which Hasselblad describes as “the most versatile medium format camera” in the industry.

Crafted from machined aluminum, the Hasselblad 907X is beautifully retro looking, ultra-modern camera body that mates with the powerful CFV 100C digital back offering full compatibility with Hasselblad’s family of XCD lenses, as well as older HC/HCD and Xpan lenses.

The CFV 100C digital back features a 100-megapixel backside-illuminated CMOS sensor, offering a resolution of 11,656 x 8,742 and a pixel size of 3.76-micron.

The sensor size measures 43.8 x 32.9 millimeters, resulting in a 0.78x crop factor when compared to a full-frame camera.

It also features up to 15 stops of dynamic range when shooting at 16-bit RAW and base ISO 64 and maximum ISO 25,600.

When paired with the 907X, the CFV 100C digital back features phase-detect autofocus (PDAF) and face-detection AF with 294 autofocus points that cover 97% of the image area, promising the same autofocus speed and performance as the Hasselblad X2D 100C.

The CFV 100C digital back also comes with a whopping 1TB of built-in SSD storage (with write/read speeds of up to 2370MB/s & 2850MB/s respectively), providing enough space to store up to 4600 RAW images directly on the camera virtually eliminating the need for additional memory cards.

That being said, a CFexpress Type B card slot that will support cards up to 512GB in capacity is also available if you wish to use that instead.

Depending on the lens being used, the 907X/CFV 100C combo offers a range of shutter speeds with the latest XCD lenses offering a shutter speed range from 68 minutes to 1/4000s and up to 1/800s or 1/2000s with HC/HCD Lenses.

The camera features both a mechanical and electronic shutter which tops out at 1/6000s, faster than any of Hasselblad’s physical shutters.

When it comes to flash sync speed, the CFV 100C, thanks to its new hot shoe adapter, allows flash to be used at all mechanical shutter speeds and is compatible with both Nikon and Profoto flashes.

The CFV 100C body features a 3.2-inch TFT type, 24-bit full-colour tilting display with 2.36 million dots and offers two tilting angles, 40 and 90 degrees and is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that supports internal charging via USB-C.

Finally, the digital back is also compatible with older Hasselblad V System film camera bodies like the Hasselblad 500 and 200 series bodies as well as their technical cameras, but with only manual focus supported.
