By comparison, the slightly heftier Leica Cine Play 1, released in November 2024, weighs in at 6.7kg and is more than an inch larger across each of its dimensions.
Despite a few comparative limitations, however, the newer model is substantially more versatile and considerably less expensive.
Enhanced flexibility comes built-in thanks to an integrated full metal swing system, enabling 360 degrees of rotation. This in turn supports multiple indoor and outdoor setups, including wall and ceiling projections, placement on a desk, on a floor stand and more.
