With the launch of its new Osmo 360 II action cam, DJI has upped the ante once again, offering a few timely tweaks while retaining much of what made the original Osmo 360 such as success.
As reported earlier, when DJI entered the 360 market in July 2025, the Osmo 360 introduced such game-changing features as 8K/50 fps panoramic video, dual 1-Inch HDR sensors with an industry-first square design, 120MP 360° photos and more.
DJI packed all of this into an ultra-portable 183g form factor with a bright 800-nits 2-inch OLED touchscreen and 105GB of built-in storage.
The Osmo 360 II keeps that rugged compact body design with the same 2-inch touchscreen display, the exact same dual 1-inch square HDR sensor, as well as the original’s fast f/1.9 aperture lenses.
The biggest physical change is replaceable lenses, notably absent on the Osmo 360. And these new user-swappable lenses feature an ultra-hard scratch-resistant coating.
It’s comforting to know that a scratched or damaged lens won’t hamper your production going forward. But perhaps even more welcome are the performance and video upgrades.

The Osmo 360 II shoots 8K panoramic video at 60 fps, a significant increase from the previous 50 fps limit. The new model also supports 16K 360° time lapse and 4K slow motion at 240 fps.
Dynamic range gets a boost too, climbing from 13.5 stops to 14.5, as does maximum video bitrate, increasing from 170 Mbps to 220 Mbps.
The former’s standard night-mode processing has now been upgraded to the next-gen AI SuperNight Mode 2.0. Engineered to overcome the existing limitations of action and 360-degree cameras, the new software works natively up to 8K resolution at 60 fps. The older version locked users into lower frame rates or heavily cropped resolutions.
As for photography, the Osmo 360 II introduces native RAW photo support and HDR enhancement to its already ample 120MP 360° still capabilities.
Although it keeps the same 105GB of internal storage as its predecessor, overall battery capacity has increased by roughly 10% – from 1950 mAh to 2150 mAh.
The DJI Osmo 360 II is available in a Standard Combo, Adventure Combo and Limitless Riding Combo. Lens replacements can be purchased in single and dual kits, which also include carrying case and a complete set of replacement tools.
