EOS C50 Cinema Camera
Despite weighing only 670g (1.5 lbs), the C50 is packed with features, the heart of which is a brand-new 32MP full-frame CMOS sensor, capable of internal 7K RAW recording at up to 60fps.
Built for dynamic range and low-light performance, the EOS C50 also features dual ISO system (ISO 800 and 6400) optimized for Canon Log 2 and Log 3 workflows as well as 3:2 open gate recording, allowing for full sensor readout and unmatched flexibility in post-production.
It also offers Canon’s Cinema RAW Light which supports 12-bit RAW HQ, ST, and LT formats (allows for high-quality footage with manageable file sizes), as well as support for XF-AVC and HEVC formats.

Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system offers intelligent subject tracking that recognizes eyes, faces, heads, and even animals.
There is also a burst mode that captures 32mp stills at 40fps with pre-burst shooting.
Simultaneous Crop Recording is a feature that is sure to be a hit with YouTubers and TikTokers, allows users to capture 4K landscape video while simultaneously capturing a cropped vertical or square version for social media.
Built for rigging, the C50’s modular design includes a removable top handle with dual XLR inputs, a zoom rocker, a cold shoe mount and multiple ¼-inch mounting points for other accessories.
There are also 14 assignable buttons allowing for over 150 functions to provide more tailored workflows.
In terms of connectivity, the EOS C50 offers CFexpress Type B and SD UHS-II slots, full-size HDMI, USB-C streaming, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and Frame.io Camera to Cloud support.
Finally, there are a couple of noticeable features that are missing from the C50, namely the lack of IBIS (in-body stabilization) and an EVF (electronic viewfinder), with Canon opting for a more streamline body that relies on lens-based and electronic stabilization instead.
