The amaran Ray 60c, 120c, 360c and 660c monolights appear together against a multicoloured backdrop

amaran has just launched its new Ray series, a family of full-colour RGB LED COB monolights comprising the 60c, 120c, 360c and 660c models that together span a range of 60W to 600W output in total.

The compact, portable amaran 60c is perfect for vloggers and content creators.

The more compact and travel-friendly Ray 60c and 120c are designed for content creators and vloggers, while the larger and more powerful Ray 360c and 660c are geared more toward higher-end film, broadcast and video production applications.

The 360c and 660c are amaran’s most powerful full-colour COBs so far, the latter marking amaran’s first-ever 600W fixture.

Despite all their differences, at the heart of each is the new OmniColor light engine, which builds on Amaran’s previous full-colour chipset, expanding the red and blue ranges and introducing an indigo emitter to deliver a fuller, more balanced spectrum of light that in turn allows for the capture of cleaner whites and truer skin tones.

Thanks to the OmniColor light engine, they each boast a CCT range of 1,800K to 20,000K. They also share an IP54 rating, 96+ CRI, plus NFC pairing and DMX control.

Along with power cable, power adapter and carrying bag, the 60c and 120c come with an Ace Lock to baby pin adapter grip, Octa Dome 30, Octa Dome 30 diffusion cloth and Octa Dome 30 light control grid.

The 330c and 660c both include reflector, AC power cable, Bowens Mount protection cover and carrying case.
