Canon XF and XA Series Camcorders Receive Firmware Updates

Canon has announced firmware updates for their popular XF and XA series camcorders adding new recording capabilities and more!

While the new features and improvements vary depending on the camera, one update that they all have in common is a new Custom Picture Feature that allows users to fine tune settings such as sharpness, saturation, skin detail and noise reduction.

The update also expands features for assignable buttons for all cameras, allowing assignable features such as zebras, peaking and markers to be programmed.

The XF 405/XF400 and XA55/XA50 cameras have also received autofocus updates, improving accuracy when using zoom.
