Not many companies can boast that sort of longevity. And, to celebrate this milestone, the German paper manufacturer is presenting The Hahnemuhle 425th Anniversary Photo Award Contest.
The open international competition (themed For Originals) invites photographers to present their unique visions of people, objects and moods from the most original perspective possible. Submissions will be accepted until June 30, 2009.
Hahnemuhle will be awarding non-cash prizes, in several categories, worth €36,000. Winning entries will also become part of the prestigious Hahnemuhle Anniversary Collection, a travelling exhibition scheduled for hanging in the major photo capitals around the world.

This photo contest is open to Canadians – but it looks like we have to send our submissions to Hahnemühle’s USA office.. and have it printed on Hahnemühle paper 😉
