Help-Portrait 2012: Toronto – Get Involved!

Last year Vistek played sponsor to an incredible event called Help-Portrait.  Founded by Celebrity Photographer Jeremy Cowart, Help-Portrait is a community of photographers coming together across the world to use their photography skills to give back to their local community. This global movement of professional photographers, make-up artists, hairstylists, and passionate volunteers are using their time, equipment, and expertise to give back to those who are less fortunate.

In the first three years of operation volunteers have provided 169,523 portraits shot by 15,558 photographers with the help of 21,447 volunteers over 1,520 locations in 56 countries. This year is shaping up to be bigger than ever.

This year, Vistek is getting involved again by donating printers to several of the Toronto locations. As well, some talented members of the Vistek team will be donating their photography skills!

Want to get involved?

  • get in touch with the organizers in your area if you have skills to add to the team (make-up artist, hair stylist, editor, etc.)
  • tell deserving members of the community to come down for a portrait
  • make plans to come along for your own portrait
  • donate cash or goods-in-kind (tax receipts are being issued)
