The evening was a smash success, with SIM Digital showing off their newly procured (and available for rent!) Sony F5/55 cameras along with a first-time showing of Sony’s new Prime PL lenses (a family of six, ranging from 20mm to 135mm), some exciting new accessories and an in-depth demonstration of just how amazingly they all work together.
Not only did guests get to see these exciting new cameras in action with a number of lenses, the folks from Bling Digital with a DMT cart to demonstrate the new Sony Content Browser and all that it can do — from ingesting, playing and copying mpeg 50 and XAVC 4K files. Sony’s RAW viewer was only showcased, using DaVinci Resolve 9.1 to colour correct and transcode mpeg, XAVC, and RAW files.
And, best of all, everyone was afforded the opportunity to ask questions of the experts AND to get handsy with these new wonders of technology!
