Diana Thorneycroft: A People's History

In her new series, A People’s History, internationally-renowned photographer, Diana Thorneycroft, explores our nation’s known disgraces where crimes by Canadians against fellow Canadians are exposed. In 14 separate and carefully constructed scenes, Thorneycroft creates staged tableaux photographs featuring children’s dolls portraying impending public and private horrors and crimes committed against society’s most vulnerable: our children, our discriminated, our disadvantaged. Public exploitation, private serial crimes and historical tragedies are revealed a moment before each chilling injustice.
