The new DJI Mini 3 Pro is the company’s latest palm-sized drone and a successor to the popular Mini 2, boasting a redesigned body and a handful of impressive enhancements. Upgraded features not only give it better low-light performance but also make it the safest Mini so far. And that’s not all – let’s see what else is new.

    Tri-directional obstacle sensing
Equipped with forward, backward and downward dual-vision sensors, the new Mini 3 Pro offers an expanded sensing range above and beyond that of the Mini 2. Along with active tri-directional obstacle sensing, the addition of Advanced Pilot Assistance Systems (APAS 4.0) also boosts its flight safety level, allowing the DJI Mini 3 Pro to detect and avoid objects in its flight path as they appear in real time.

    Heightened aerial image making
DJI Mini 3 ProFeaturing a a 24mm f/1.7 lens, 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor and dual native ISO, the Mini 3 Pro can capture 48MP RAW photos enriched with higher dynamic range, as well as stunning 4K 60 fps video (and 1080p 120 fps slow-motion video) with support for direct output of HDR footage. Larger 2.4μm pixels make more light available, so that even in low-light scenes images will look sharp, vibrant and lifelike. With D-Cinelike Color, you also get more visual information to work with and greater flexibility when it comes time for editing.

    Intelligent options
A newly re-engineered gimbal also offers a wider 90-degree rotation range for low-angle shots, and with the True Vertical Shooting mode you can now easily switch between landscape and portrait in one tap, so you’re always ready for social media. And thanks to QuickTransfer, you can share your footage instantly with high-speed WiFi downloads at up to 30Mbps.

Along with Timelapse and Panorama, additional intelligent modes include FocusTrack to help you follow your subject in creative new ways, and a clever MasterShots option that executes a series of pro maneuvers and then generates a short cinematic video – an excellent entrée to the Mini 3’s extensive capabilities, especially for aerial filmmaking novices.

    Completely new look
DJI Mini 3 Pro Close UpWeighing in at less than 249g, the Mini 3 Pro retains its predecessor’s ability to operate regulation-free in most jurisdictions, but the body now boasts a more streamlined design and aerodynamic tilt, which, along with its larger propellers, help deliver increased flight times of up to 34 minutes. The optional Intelligent Flight Battery Plus extends that even further, to a 47-minute maximum flight time. As with past iterations, the foldable compact design also makes it super-easy to transport and store when not in use.
