Sony has officially unveiled the Alpha 7 V, the fifth-generation model in its acclaimed A7 series. Designed for photographers and videographers who demand versatility without compromise, the A7 V combines cutting-edge technology with intuitive usability, setting a new benchmark for full-frame mirrorless cameras.

    Revolutionary Sensor and Processing Power

At the heart of the Alpha 7 V is a 33MP Exmor RS CMOS sensor featuring Sony’s first partially stacked design in this category, delivering faster readout speeds as well as enabling blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 30 frames per second with full autofocus and auto-exposure tracking.

    Autofocus That Thinks Ahead

Autofocus however, is where the A7 V truly shines!

The 759 phase-detection points cover 94% of the frame, and thanks to AI-driven real-time tracking, the camera offers a level of precision that feels almost predictive.

So whether you’re capturing fast-moving athletes, wildlife in motion, or cinematic scenes, the A7 V ensures your subject stays sharp—even in challenging conditions.

    Video Capabilities for Modern Storytellers

For hybrid creators, video performance is critical, and the A7 V delivers, offering 4K at 60p oversampled from 7K footage as well as offering exceptional detail and dynamic range.

For slow-motion enthusiasts, 4K 120p (APS-C crop) and Full HD at 240p are available.

The a7 V also features 10-bit 4:2:2 internal recording, support for S-Log3 and S-Cinetone, and improved heat management for extended recording sessions.

    Enhanced Stability and Ergonomics

Sony has refined the A7 V’s body for comfort and durability, maintaining its compact footprint while improving grip and button layout.

Sony Alpha 7 V Back with Articulating LCD ScreenThe fully articulating 3.2-inch touchscreen and a stunning 9.44M-dot OLED viewfinder elevate the shooting experience, and its 5-axis in-body image stabilization rated up to 7 stops ensures rock-solid handheld shots, even in low light.

    Connectivity and Workflow

Dual card slots (CFexpress Type A and UHS-II SD), USB-C, HDMI, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth make the A7 V a powerhouse for fast data transfer and tethered shooting.
