Atomos introduces the Ninja TX GO

The Ninja TX GO is the latest addition to the Atomos Ninja line of professional monitor-recorders, positioned as an HDMI-focused alternative to the Ninja TX launched earlier this year.

With its 12G-SDI connectivity and 8K RAW capabilities, the original TX model is designed for use with higher-end cine cams, while the new TX GO is clearly targeted more broadly to shooters in the HDMI-based mirrorless and DSLR market.

The TX GO’s HDMI input supports 8K video up to 30 fps, 4K up to 60 fps and 1080p up to 120 fps, with a loop-through then passing the incoming HDMI signal from the camera to an external monitor, for instance, or perhaps a wireless transmitter or live streaming encoder.

A newly integrated camera control feature is one of the biggest enhancements to the lineup, allowing users to bypass camera menu systems while shooting and adjust aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings directly.

And with 1500 nits of brightness, the 5-inch touchscreen makes the Ninja TX GO perfectly suited to sunlit outdoor shooting.

Like its older sibling, the TX GO records ProRes RAW to ultra-fast CFexpress Type B cards or external USB-C SSD drives. Both support USB-C Power Delivery, allowing them to be powered directly from a compatible USB-C source, and both feature two USB-C ports. The TX GO also supports conventional NP-F batteries and AC adaptor power options.

The Ninja TX GO also boasts Camera to Cloud (C2C) integration, which allows video files to be uploaded directly from the monitor to the cloud. And with integrated WiFi, you can upload content straight to ATOMOSphere, Dropbox or Frame.io from wherever you happen to be, anywhere in the world.
