The new DJI Mic 3 all-in-one wireless microphone system is designed for live streamers, vloggers and other content creators who seek pro-level features in a compact portable package.

Like its predecessor, the DJI Mic 2, the new kit includes a receiver, two transmitters, charging case and additional accessories, and the bundle comes with some noteworthy improvements too.

The first thing you’ll probably notice is the smaller size of the case and the transmitters – in fact, the DJI Mic 3 seems to combine certain elements of the Mic 2 and the Mini Mic.

In terms of portability, the sacrifice in size is a boon, of course, and it comes with no sacrifice in terms of features and functions.

Audio quality is top notch, as you’d expect, and now with the ability to connect to four transmitters at once, the receiver can capture four audio sources simultaneously.

The receiver can also sync audio to up to seven additional receivers – making it perfect for group interviews and multi-camera productions.

This model retains the much-appreciated dual-file 32-bit float internal recording introduced on the previous version. A new adaptive gain control feature now adds the ability to keep audio balanced and unwanted clipping at bay.

The new baked-in time code support is another step in the right direction especially when dealing with multiple audio tracks in post-production editing.

Additional improvements include a boost in transmission range, now reaching 400m, plus considerably extended battery life – up to 28 hours with a fully charged charging case.

    Features

    • 4TX + 8RX capability and four-channel output
    • Adaptive gain control for balanced volume
    • Three voice tone presets, two-level noise cancelling
    • Dual-band anti-interference, lossless audio transmission
    • Dual-file 32-bit float internal recording
    • Integrated timecode for seamless editing
    • Extended operating time and fast charging
