Manfrotto launches the new ONE tripod for hybrid shooters

    Manfrotto One Tripod

With the launch of the new ONE tripod, Manfrotto has created a versatile hybrid system designed to meet the needs of professional content creators who shoot both stills and video with a mirrorless camera.

In its research involving professionals across Europe, Asia and the U.S., Manfrotto discovered that currently available photographic tripods lacked certain features for video, while videographic tripods lacked features suited to photography, so they pulled out the stops to find a solution.

The result is the Manfrotto ONE, a tripod built for photographers, filmmakers and content creators looking for a single support system that can adapt to a wide variety of shooting styles. Here are some of its most innovative features.

Manfrotto One Tripod with CameraVersatile centre column
This is the core of the ONE’s design and key to its versatility, allowing it to deliver multiple functions when appropriately deployed to suit various situations.

Additional features include a levelling column that lets you achieve precise levelling in mere seconds, a detachable modular column for cool ground-level shots and other unique perspectives, a sliding column with a smooth sliding mechanism that locks securely for precise setups, and an angle selector that allows you to fix the legs at pre-set angles.

    Q90 Mechanism
This game-changing mechanism lets you explore various creative angles and switch seamlessly from vertical to horizontal shooting. It’s ideal for everything from overhead flat-lay photography to top-down video shots.

    Xchange
The newly developed Xchange system makes it super-easy to swap heads, sliders and other accessories in a snap, so you can adapt flawlessly to ever-shifting creative challenges, including switching from photography to video and back, worry-free.

    Customized non-round tube sections
Photographic tripods typically feature single legs with round sections for maximum efficiency in terms of rigidity and flexibility. For video, on the other hand, it’s usually twin legs with round sections designed to maximize efficiency in torsional rigidity (resistance to twisting when subjected to torque).

Using a customized non-round section structure, the ONE’s tube shape ensures the stability required for photography, plus optimum flexibility and torsional rigidity that’s ideal for smooth video panning.

The Pro-Light tripod bags feature extra shock-absorption padding at the head.

The Manfrotto ONE also features a great new time-saving Xtend locking mechanism that lets you deploy all of the leg sections at once. Another bonus: the tripod’s modular feet can adapt to almost any terrain to provide dependably steadfast grip.

The tripod comes in your choice of aluminum or carbon fibre, and both models are also available as a kit with the 500X fluid head and carry case.

Today’s launched is accompanied by the new Manfrotto Pro-Light tripod bags. Designed with extra shock-absorption padding around the head to keep your tripod well protected, they’re available in three sizes: 69cm, 80cm and 88cm internal bag length.
