    Canon has debuted the compact PowerShot V1 and the more video-centric EOS R50 V, both of which have been designed to meet the growing demands of content production while offering distinct strengths that can help elevate your storytelling.

    Canon PowerShot V1: Compact Creativity

    Designed for creators on the move, the PowerShot V1 is a compact camera that boasts a 1.4-inch sensor, offering 22.3MP for stills and 18.7MP for video, Canon’s DIGIC X processor and Dual Pixel CMOS AF II providing fast, accurate autofocus with intelligent subject tracking.

    Canon PowerShot V1 CameraThe built-in 16-50mm f/2.8 4.5 zoom lens is perfect for wide-angle selfies and close-ups and its optical image stabilization helps to ensure that even handheld shots remain crisp and steady.

    It also offers 4K 60p recording and Full HD 120p slow motion capture and utilizes active cooling technology allowing for extended 4K recording sessions without overheating.

    • Built-in 16-50mm f/2.8-4.5 wide angle zoom lens (35mm equivalent).
    • 1.4-Type Sensor, 22.3MP for Stills and 18.7MP for Video.

    The EOS R50 V is the first Canon V-series camera, blending the compact form of the EOS R50 with advanced video capabilities.

    Equipped with a 24.2MP APS-C sensor, the R50 V offers 4K 30fps oversampled from 6K video, 4K 60fps, and Full HD 120fps for slow-motion shots.

    Like the PowerShot V1, the R50 V is equipped with Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF II autofocus system offering tracking with Register People Priority and Auto People, Animal, and Vehicle Subject Detection.

    Advanced video features such as Canon Log 3, HLG, PQ, 709 Recording, False Colour and Zebras video features are also available.

    Features such as Automatic Exposure and Scene modes including, Movie for Close-up demo, Smooth Skin and Movie IS mode, as well as Colour Filters are also easily accessible.

    EOS R50 V Top and Bottom ViewsContinuing with its video-centric design, the camera also features a tally lamp (let’s you know when it’s recording), as well as record buttons located on the front and rear, and a vari-angle touchscreen.

    It also features a zoom level that allows power zoom lenses such as the new RF-S14-30mm f/4-6.3 IS STM PZ lens (included with the kit version) to be controlled directly from the camera body.
