As the entry level model, the H1essential is a compact and user-friendly device that will capture audio at the push of a button.
It also comes packed with advanced features such as overdubbing, pre-record, auto record, playback speed adjustment, and a dedicated marker button for setting instant reference points while recording.
The USB-C port allows the H1Essential to connect to a PC, Mac, or iOS and Android devices to be used as a 32-bit float interface while simultaneously recording all 6 tracks to an SD card.

Zoom H4essential
The H4essential offers four tracks for recording and allows for more flexibility featuring two XLR/TRS combo inputs and onboard X/Y microphones capable of capturing sound up to 130 dB SPL.
Additionally, it features a full-colour LCD screen allowing for easy navigation and supports SDXC cards with up to 1 TB of storage.
With Zoom’s BTA-1 Bluetooth Adapter (sold separately) attached, the H4 Essential can pair with an iOS device allowing users to remotely hit record, make mix adjustments, view waveforms, and change settings. It also allows the unit to pair with other Bluetooth timecode devices for audio and video sync.
