    Hasselblad XCD 28mm P Lens

Hasselblad has just launched the XCD 28mm P f/4.0 wide-angle lens, the lightest lens in the company’s current medium-format lens lineup, built to meet the demanding resolution requirements of the 100MP sensor found in the Hasselblad X2D 100C. It’s also compatible with the 50MP Hasselblad 907X 50C.

    Lightweight and portable
Weighing just 245g and only 43.5mm in length, this new wide-angle lens from Hasselblad is compact, lightweight and ideal for street photography. In fact, it’s the lightest and smallest lens of the Hasselblad X System and the lightest lens of the company’s current medium-format lens lineup.

    Go wide. Get in close.
The XCD 28mm P f/4.0 is set apart by its 22mm-equivalent focal length. This lens offers a slightly wider angle than most of this type, allowing shooters to encompass noticeably broader scenes, including those found in nature and on the streets as well as urban architecture. But it also features a 22cm minimum focusing distance with 1:6 magnification, enabling the capture of detailed close-ups, including flowers, cuisine, products and more.

    Signature optical performance
The XCD 28mm P f/4.0 comprises nine elements in eight groups, including two aspherical elements and one ED element, which combine to ensure superior image quality while suppressing chromatic dispersion. With signature Hasselblad craftsmanship, this lens is built to meet the demanding resolution requirements of a 100MP sensor, delivering precise high-resolution sharpness from the centre to the edges.
