Nanlite has announced two new spotlights, the Forza 720 and 720B which Nanlite says are the brightest spotlights in the Forza ecosystem to date.
The Forza 720 and 720B share a lot of the same basic features with the main differences being power and that the 720B is a bi-colour light.
Both lights feature a standard Bowens mount providing compatibility with a wide range of modifiers from both Nanlite and other third party manufacturers.
The lamp head and control box are well protected thanks to a metal framework and a Nanlite has integrated a protruding antenna booster into the control box making Bluetooth/2.4G more reliable.
Each light also features a quick release clamp with quick release mechanism to easily mount the control unit to a light stand or other similar support.

Both AC and DC power options are available, allowing the lights to be used both on out on location on battery power or in the studio connected to continuous power via an outlet.
Two (sold separately) dual voltage V Lock batteries (14.8V or 26V) can mounted on the control unit when a power supply isn’t readily available.
However, it’s important to keep in mind that when using battery power, the maximum available light output will be lessened as indicated below.
Forza 720

An ultra-quiet cooling system can be optimized to limit fan noise even at full power and can be adjusted or turned off completely via the control box or via NANLINK App.
Both lights feature dual built-in modules for 2.4G and Bluetooth connections as well as DMX/RDM functionality.
In terms of light control, the 720 and 720B both offer continuous dimming from 0-100% in 0.1 increments.
These lights are extremely bright, with the 720 model producing 10,200 lux at 3m (12,400 lux at 1m with 45º reflector at 5,600k) and the 720B model producing 7,919 lux at 3m (84,460 lux at 1m with 45º reflector at 5,600k).
Both lights boast high colour rendition scores, with CRI 95 and TLCI 96 for the Forza 720 model and an average CRI 96 and TLCI 97 with the Forza 720B model.
The Forza 720B also boasts an expanded CCT range of 2700-7500K and two output modes, maximum and constant.
Maximum Output Mode maxes output for the selected CCT, whereas Constant Output Mode will maintain a uniform level of luminance when adjusting the CCT.
