    Zhiyun Crane 2S: Professional, High-load Capacity 3-Axis Stabilizer

    The Zhiyun Crane 2S professional level gimbal, took everything that was great about the Crane 2 Gimbal and made it even better!

    The Crane 2S boasts a bunch of new and improved features over the Crane 2 including:

    • Larger, improved 0.96″ OLED screen (vs. 0.66″ on the original)
    • New axis lock system to keep the axis in the locked position without any swinging, while travelling or in storage
    • Four mounting points:
      • One 1/4″ screw hole on the rear of the quick release base plate for shifting between devices such as sliders and tripods
      • Two 1/4″ screw holes with a crown gear on the stabilizer
      • One 3/8″ screw hole on the gimbal
    • Improved quick-release mount with two secure locks,
    • Tilt-axis safety knob adding the ability to mount the camera in a vertical position without using an additional accessory
    • Dedicated slot for installing TransMount Image Transmitter on bottom of quick release base plate

    The Crane 2S also features Zhiyun’s next generation, 9th Instune algorithm to control the motors ensuring smooth, reliable performance.

    Speaking of motors, they are the biggest improvement over the previous Crane 2 adding a significant boost to both power and load capacity.

    Thanks to these upgrades, Zhiyun says that the Crane 2S can easily handle larger cameras such as the:

    • Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K | BMDPCC 4K
    • Panasonic S1H
    • Canon EOS 1DX Mark III | 1DX Mark II
    • ZCAM E2C | E2 | E2 F6
    • Nikon D850

    Improved Focus Control

    The improved built-in focus control wheel and servo follow focus motor will also support digital focus control with compatible cameras.

    Gimbal Modes

    There are six gimbal modes that will cover most filming situations encountered on set including:

    • Pan following
    • Locking
    • Following
    • Full-range POV
    • Vortex mode
    • Go mode

    Battery Power

    The Crane 2S uses three removable 18650 Li-ion batteries providing up to 12 hours of runtime.

    Versions

    The Crane 2S is available in two versions, a Standard version and a Combo version.

    According to Zhiyun’s press release, there is also a Pro version in the works, but we are yet to see any details.
